The Executive Chairman of Mushin Local Government - Hon. Emmanuel Bamigboye has appealed to the youths to shun any form of plan to destroy the heritage and investments in Lagos State under the guise of peaceful protest.

He made this appeal during his interview today on a radio programme titled "Oro T'onlo" (Ongoing discussion), on Bond FM 92.9.

He reminded the youths of the disaster that erupted during the END SARS protest which was hijacked by those who intentionally planned to use the protest to destroy Lagos State and set the economy of the state backwards.

He called the attention of the youths of all the historical monuments, financial investments, public utilities and other structures which were destroyed in the protest, especially the BRT buses and one of the best hospitals situated on Lagos Island, which was designed to address serious Health and Medical challenges and save our people the expenses of travelling abroad, but destroyed during the protest.

The council boss appealed for calm and patient as the President - Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is making frantic efforts to make life more meaningful for us in Nigeria and restore the economy of the country for affordability and abundant food in circulation.

Hon. Bamigboye while commending the great and giant strides of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo Olu, he also enjoined the youths not to frustrate his efforts as he is striving to make Lagos a mega city and one of the most vibrant economic cities in the world, with the provision of magnificent public facilities and infrastructural projects.

As he Highlighted some of his achievements in Mushin Local Government, the chairman mentioned the newly completed office complex at Oliyide, which will accommodate staff of Federal and state government parastatals like Immigration, NDLEA, Civil Defence, etc.

He also pointed out significant projects like road construction across the length and breadth of Mushin. Construction of a new classroom building for Primary School pupils and renovation of old ones across Mushin.

He called on the youths and general public to resist any form of persuasion to join the planned protest, as the government is on the right path towards making the country a great nation.
