The daughter of late Ayinla Omowura Anigilaje, the Apala music legend, Alimot Shadia has kicked off the campaign of Ayinla Omowura Foundation by inviting donors to participate in supplying writing materials to public schools in other to immortalize the late Apala Lord.
Alimot who also took after her late father by entertaining her fans both home and abroad with Apala music extravaganza takes a bold step on Friday, by donating writing materials to the pupils of Local Government Primary School III Ota, Joju area in Ogun state while speaking with journalists said ‘ Immortalizing my father is a long term dream which has been pending on my to-do list, I believe the time is now because I have been trying to do it for a long time but cannot meet up owing to lack of fund, though I still don’t have much on me but I believe in the strength of my late father’s fans’.
Speaking further she said ‘I know I can’t do it all alone, I wish Ayinla Omowura foundation will pass the test of time so alternatively, donors could purchase needed items to meet up with my ‘Wish List’ or they can donate funds to purchase necessary items according to what is needed as we are not only targeting schools, we hope to cover every sector in the point of need.
To open the ‘Ayinla Omowura Foundation’ to fans of the late apala music legend both home and abroad, Alimat announces ‘Ayinla Omowura Day ‘which is set to hold on 31st of August at Iyana-Ipaja Area in Lagos state. ‘The show is to set a pace for my father as it will be celebrated annually and the foundation will be launched that day so as to bring apala music fans together.
