Bianca Ojukwu, widow of late Biafran leader Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu and former Nigerian Ambassador to Spain, has reacted to the attack on Senator Ifeanyi Ubah’s motorcade by gunmen in Anambra.
Gunmen ambushed Ubah’s motorcade near Nkwo Enugwu-Ukwu Junction in the state’s Njikoka Local Government Area.
According to police, five people were killed in the attack, including the lawmaker’s aides and police escorts assigned to him.
“I mourn with the people of Anambra and Sen. Ubah over the horrific attack on his motorcade,” Ojukwu, who is from Anambra South, said in a statement on Monday.
“Many lives were lost in this satanic ambush, people who went out for the day, just another ordinary day, but never returned home, their lives brutally cut short by heartless gunmen.”
