...Aweni Oniwaka plan to celebrate 50th Birthday In Grand Style
All road will soon lead to Agidingbi in Ikeja area of Lagos State as Queen Amdalat Aweni Bello popularly known as Aweni Oniwaka will on the 5th of September start a new journey in life where the waka star will mark her fifth decade on Earth.
It is no longer a news that Aweni has taken waka music to next level as she is presently making waves in music industry . Recently thanking God on her intending golden jubilee birthday bash, ' I don't have anything to say but to give thanks to God, it is a great privilege to attain a golden age and it calls for celebration.
Aweni also talk about how she journeyed into entertainment world
' I started my journey into entertainment world as a back up singer with Queen Salawa Abeni ' I joined her band immediately after leaving secondary school. I waxed my first album in 2004.
Aweni while talking about her experience said she didn't regret forming her own band because waka music has made her tour around different countries like Ghana,Togo,South Africa, London and she is an household name already both home and abroad.
According to her,waka music has taken a new dimension because life itself is evolving and one need to move with the tide ' I have decided that Waka won't stay glued to a spot, I have introduce many modern styles and instrument to it and it is very encouraging that people are beginning to see the genre as a brand to go with.
In response to what Waka will be in future she said ' Even as we speak, Waka has already wore a new face. though many upcoming artists see it as a tough brand but they will get to understand it if they are ready to learn and endure.
Speaking on the caliber of people she's expecting at her party,she said all she need is goodwill while she dole out praises on her husband Alhaji Sikiru Bello for understanding the nature of her job too well which make their union a perfect one.
